Wiki Cluster Browser

The following service is based on a number of algorithms developed with Prof. Shlomo Havlin, my Ph.D. supervisor from the Bar Ilan University, Israel.

By analyzing the structure of the information contained in the Wikipedia, we group its terms by similarity. For example, a computer-related group; a group containing terms related to Physics ; Political movements such as Zionism; socioeconomic concepts such as Capitalism and Geography Moscow.

In its pure form, the specificity of groups is controlled by a single parameter (ranging from 0 to 1). For higher values of threshold, the groups are more homogenous.

Currently, the page provides interface to English Wiki only, though computation for other Wiki's has already been performed. I'll integrate them into the site soon.

This page provides a way to "play" with the data and the algorithm. Enjoy it. It's fun.
